Quick Observation

Fantastic day! We did several laps off the peak and a couple more from the subpeak. The cold during the week has kept the snow as light as possible and it rode so well. The cold and dry was seeing the formation of large surface hoar, which seemed to lessen during the day. There is enough snow to have covered almost all hazards except a few rock outcroppings that are usually present due to wind anyway. No signs of instability whatsoever. We rode several steep and convex features and nothing was reacting at all. It was a busy day though and the area is pretty tracked out, although this does mean there is a plethora of skin tracks. The pipeline is also riding suite well now, except for the willows on the last/first face by the parking lot. There is a more dense layer about 40cm down, although it doesn't feel like a crust and the new snow feels like it's bonding well. Ski pen is 20+cm and boot pen is 30+cm.
