Quick report
- Collapsing
- specific
I did a quick lap on tenderfoot before the sunset. I toured to 2250 ft following a pre established skinner. Significant rain plagued below 2k. Lots of roller balls. The snow depth increased dramatically at 2k. The snow was very wet and heavy. The skinner ended at 2250 ft and the first step off I got a huge collapse. I traversed south and got three more loud collapses. I stopped and dug in the snow and found about a foot of new with a thin ice crust about 4 inches below the surface and one on the surface. No formal tests were done as I wanted to beat the freezing surface crust below me. I didn’t.
