Traveled E facing Todd to S facing Todd: Height of new snow 10 cm low density. Weather at 0930 overcast, trace precip with rimed stellars. Clearing around 1100 with partly sunny weather. Overall structure is good with new snow over a 6-10cm pencil hard crust and well adhered. Below tree line wind was intermittent swirling gusts with no consistent transport. No windslab observed, even at ridgetop. A few cornices in favorable E and S facing locations are getting large though. Around 1100 S facing became solar with roller balls. Overall no significant hazard below tree line. The traveled by sled up trail 8 to moon mountain and back to dutchman. Road was drifted 1-2' deep and wind transport was active at and above treeline with consistent winds 15-20mph out of the NE-E-S. Old cornice fall debris visible on moon mountain with cornices replenishing. Same at tree line along trail 8-- would expect large windslabs in favored locations, which seem to be on a variety of aspects with lots of ground effect to the wind direction. Considerable danger at and above treeline in the right places.
