Quick report
Went out to Ball for a quick sunset lap, and another effort to find peace with the loss of Strat. Nothing really to report avy conditions-wise. Everything is pretty stable out there (maybe changing with forthcoming rain 🤬 and then hopefully more snow ❄️ later in the week). Maybe not the greatest turns (especially after sunset when it’s refreezing 🙄), but it’s still great to get out in the snow and nice to not have to worry about avy conditions. Looked like quite a few tracks from the last couple days enjoying the softening snow. These are the times/conditions where I like to go out and test gear, and make sure everything is dialed for when it counts and you don’t want to be thinking about gear. In fact Strat and Alex used to have a funny saying, “Stay dialed to be dialed”. Meaning always practice your craft, so when the time comes where you need to really draw on those skills, you can be in the moment. RIP guys, you will live on through all the lives you touched.
