Quick report

L: Paulina Peak E: 7940' A: ENE S: 17deg T: 1113; HS: 127cm first CT24 SC up 37cm second CT29 SC up 37cm ECTX (twice) Cross-ECT 32/90 up 37cm PST 35/100 up 38cm END Fair snow stability; supported crust down 35cm with cohesive rounds for the majority of the slab (down ~ 1m); persistent weak layer up 37cm was located between melt crusts on the summit's east aspect and moderately reactive on propagation saw tests, but not ECTs. Dug a nearby pit where HS was over 300cm, and all tests revealed fair / good stability in the deeper snowpack (no surprise).
