Quick report

From the valley floor, saw and heard large, thundering wet/loose natural avalanches on multiple sunny SW and W aspects between 5 and 8 pm on 3/26. Some starting points appeared to be as high as 4000', with several slides running thousands of feet and exposing brush and bare ground. Estimate D2 to D3 where concentrated in gullies. Many appeared to have started as point releases at exposed rocks that entrained wide swaths of snow on the way down. Valley temp mid 40s F, mostly sunny with ephemeral mountaintop clouds and occasional sprinkles.
