Quick report

We toured up to Ball Butte. The new snow and was substantially deeper than reported at Bachelor. We dug a pit on the East side of Ball. There was 76 cm of new snow over the rain crust. We did not find any layers in the snow above the crust and it was well consolidated. With considerable force, a shovel test broke a layer approximately 45cm below the surface. We skied three different lines and did not experience any cracking or sliding. We did not see any natural avalanches.
