This photo came in from Mark Sevenoff who reported seeing it while out on on a tour following an early season storm that brought nearly 2' of snow to the mountains. It started as a sluff up high and then a triggered a slab in the usual notorious pocket. Weak layer is unknown. It behaves like a PWL but almost no snow existed on the ground prior to this storm.
