Skinning and downhill conditions were excellent. Visibility was great from the TH up to 8,000'. At ~8,000', the cloud layer greatly decreased the visibility. Above ~8,500', there are decent sized wind slabs and wind affected areas where the snow has been removed. I put on my split crampons for the last ~500' before turning back.

-
I reached ~8,900' and had extremely poor visibility. There are large wind slabs from the recent storm on this ridge that I was not able to see until I was standing on them. If the visibility was better, I would feel better about avoiding the wind slabs but I turned around at this point once it starting snowing.
