Quick report
We set a conservative travel plan for our tour today. Drove the sleds up Jeru Road to about 4900ft. We put the skis on and started the bush wack up to the long SE facing shoulder that is north of Jeru and looks down over McCormick Creek (High point 6380). We gave a wide berth to any terrain over 30 degrees. Generally staying in 25 degrees (or less) SE facing terrain. Starting at about 5600 feet we observed widespread surface hoar. Especially in the more wind sheltered areas. The main sign of instability we saw was snow shedding off trees and around steep rocky terrain on nearby peaks. North of Jeru, some falling snow appeared to trigger a larger slide that originated from a steep rocky outcrop. The day was mostly sunny with a light SW wind. Around 12:30 some clouds rolled in and the winds increased slightly. Our concerns over a potential sun crust from Saturday's sunny weather were unfounded. We found quality turns and stellar views.

It appeared like warming temps may have caused some snow to break off the cornice which triggered the larger slide below. The origination point seemed to be the steep rocks directly in the middle of the crown.
