Quick report

Although the route we skied was very treed, the snowpack was right-side up at these elevations, would have been good skiing in more open areas, with the main concern likely dry loose. No signs of cracking/collapsing on our treed locations and mild slopes; ECTX. Snowmobilers had been riding steeper slopes on similar and steeper/higher slopes with no cracking or dislodged slabs.

Clear, calm, and cold - snow still on trees from previous day with little disturbance at the time.

Snowpack

New snow still unconsolidated, not yet bonded into a slab or to the layer from the prior storm cycle. Deeper weak layers are now ~50cm or more down in the snowpack and showed no reactivity in these locations.

Avalanche

Very minor avalanche crown observed on a steep, cross-loaded slope across Trestle creek.
