Recent heavy wind following up last weeks snow storm has produced lots of heavy cornices in avalanche alley. Caution should be given to this area as avalanches can be triggered remotely without any warning signs.

Avalanche
Avalanche was observed north of highway 70 up lost creek to avalanche alley. Major wind loaded cornice collapsed and triggered a slide most likely naturally. It could have been triggered remotely as there were snowmobile tracks in the near vicinity approximately 100 feet away.
