Quick report
Pretty shocked how much snow was being blown around today in the upper basin of Maybird. Especially with how little snow there is. Most terrain features above treeline are fully stripped down to the rocks while cross loaded gullies are getting loaded.
Snowpack
Surface snow below 10K had a hard melt-freeze crust overnight varying from 2-5cm thick. Isolated pockets of shelter north facing trees still had soft snow that was not wind or temperature effect. This was a small elevation band (9,500-10,200ft). Above 10,500 surface snow was pencil hard and wind effected. Snow depth at 9K 40-60cm at 10K 60-90cm
