Observation: Pole Line Pass

Fan-cooled travels from the east side to pole line pass from a very elevation dependent lack of snow, to an HS of around just under a meter tell the tale of mid elevations' shallow snowpack. In an area where the snowpack has not entirely lost strength, a hole was dug to observe structure (attached). Relative to upper elevations, these lower and mid elevations, understandably, are losing strength quickly. Otherwise, there's not much tale of the weird, weak snow surfaces are beginning to produce dry loose avalanches in steeper terrain, an exceptionally small one was observed during ski turns today.

Uinta area forecasters were surprised to find corn (photo attached) on solars around 9500'. Otherwise, loud powder has taken over, even in place of some of the old windboard. In a cold holler, large surface hoar could be observed - pretty. (photo attached).
