Touring in West and Main Porter this afternoon it seemed like almost any slope steeper than 30ish degrees had small natural avalanches (3-6 inch crowns) presumably from the periods of high intensity precipitation this morning and early afternoon. The east-facing slope that heads into Main Porter to the south of In-Between had a noteworthy avalanche that ran quite far over lower angle terrain and left a pretty good sized debris pile, snapping some trees along the way. Unsure of the specific layer this one failed on (we didn't access the crown) but it clearly stepped down deeper than most of the small avalanches we saw today. There was 2-3 inches of new snow on top of the debris which leads us to believe it maybe happened between late morning and noon today. Thought this one was worth noting.
