Snowpack

We saw poor structure and test failure on the Thanksgiving melt-freeze crust. Also, observed buried surface hoar at 85cm depth, below a melt-freeze crust. Variability in test results in separate pits at 2100ft, one pit has ECTPV (W aspect) and one had ECTP19 (SE aspect), both failures on facets above the Thanksgiving melt-freeze crust. Slab above melt-freeze crust shows increasing cohesion at higher elevations.
