Quick report
Rode the snow machines to 6 grand and climbed Link Mountain. Snow was wind effected on the ridgeline, but we did not observe any cracking. We skied the N aspect from 7200' down to the lake. Snow was supportable pow. We climbed to the summit of Lake Mountain (7800') and skied the long W facing aspect to drainage bottom. Surprisingly, the snow was fun and soft on this aspect as well. We then climbed the ridge to Whitefish Mountain's summit, where we dug a pit on an East aspect at 7300'. A 4 inch wind skin was on the surface of the snow where we dug. HS 250 cm, weak layer was down 55 cm. ECTN26 50 cm down. We skied this aspect to finish a fun day. Our friends continued from Lake Mtn on to the Everest of the Whitefish Range, summiting and skiing the S face of Nasukoin!! The storm was threatening all day but produced nada. Winds were moderately gusty but mostly calm in protected zones. Hope we get a couple inches from the next doozy storm!

We saw a few smaller, old crowns and debris on steep, rocky, south facing slopes on our ride in and during our tour.
