Quick report
Today was day 2 of our Mammoth to June traverse and we noticed numerous wet loose avalanches today. Snow started around 3am on Sunday and measured ~1inch at 8900' by 7am in sheltered terrain. We got a look at some solars with rock features by 9 am and they had already started shedding. By 10 am some areas had ~2 inches of accumulated new snow in wind deposited areas. Overnight re-freeze didn't seem great. Could still find wet snow under the superficial crusts, however the snow surfaces were supportable. Despite the wind there was significant green-housing going on with the sun poking through the clouds and temps in the mid 20's. New that received any solar input was quite moist from 8400' to 10100'
