Pleasant day of fieldwork getting Snowslip weather station back and communicating. Variable surface snow conditions kept us on our toes while skinning and skiing. Very localized cracking immediately around skis in recently wind-loaded locations. No cracking in deeper/thicker wind slabs from the last week or two. Observed a small old wind slab avalanche crown in steep wind-loaded terrain nearby.

Generally scattered clouds with light winds and a good bit of sunshine.
Snowpack
Variable surface conditions (~10cm soft snow, bullet proof windslab, melt-freeze crust, sugary near-surface facets... all possible in 10m of travel) with a small amount of fresh snow atop generally stout melt freeze crusts or old wind slabs. Dug a pit on a SE 23* slope at 6942' and the profile is attached below. Relevant results: ECTX and PST41/101 END on well-developed facets above a crust ~80cm below the surface.
