Schizophrenic weather- would go from full sun to full blower winds and back to full sun.
Snowpack
Dug pit at 10200 ft, NW aspect. Total HS 84 cm (See photo for profile) 84-77cm: F, Irregular particles, clusters of very small crystals (new snow) 77-75cm: P, MFpc, rounded forms w/ bond formation 75-60cm 3F-4F 60-58- F 58-45cm- 4F-3F 45-12cm- 2F 12-0cm (bottom)- F, RGxf- faceted, rounded, ~0.1mm grain size Also performed column test- 84-77cm (new snow)- CTE; rest of snowpack sheared to ground (Q1)
Avalanche
I couldn't get a good look or great photos, but a faint crown was visible and released debris was observed.
