Numerous whumpfs in the independence mine valley, one was large and the sound rolled up valley. Snowpit results all with propagation (ECTP3-11) on the basal facets.

Avalanche

Several previous avalanches in the area that failed on the basal facets, likely near the end of previous storm. One skier triggered avalanche observed today on the ridge above the base of $1000 run that failed at the ground, see photo.
