Toured up Deep Canyon on the north end of the Wellsville Mountains. Widespread surface hoar and near surface facets on N and NW sheltered slopes made for some fun loud pow turns. East aspects appeared fairly wind affected in exposed areas near ridge line. Poked out onto a N facing slope to dig a pit and found series of buried crusts. Biggest concern was the melt crust below 5-10 cm of facets at around 8500'. Crust appeared fairly consistent across this slope at this aspect and elevation.
