Snowpack

Instability Comment

We dug a pit near the top of green slope around 10,000 feet. Snow depth was 85cm. First CT yielded no results which was contrary to a pit we dug earlier on Marco Polo (same aspect/elevation but shallower snowpack) which first popped out with energy and second CT failed at 16. We repated a CT on green slope and got failure at 26. We decided to stay riding on low angle slopes and not push it. Don't be fooled by a moderate danger on S aspects!
