Pit was dug about on Chandler Peak, on a north facing slope (355 degrees) at an elevation of 8660 feet.
Total snow depth at this location was 170cm.
A faceted layer, as shown by the horizontal line in the photo, was noted 45cm down from the snow surface.
Extended column test results were ECT 25 Q1 with incomplete propagation across the extended column at a depth of 30cm from the surface.

Snowpack
I hadn't been to the Oquirrh's this year, so I thought I'd go over and take a look. Route was Ophir to the summit of Sharp Mountain via Serviceberry Canyon, then to Chandler Peak and exit via Chandler Creek drainage.
Solar aspects were a mix of sun crust and wind crust. North and northeast aspects were favorable, soft, dense powder from about 10,000 feet down to about 8,500 feet. Below 8,500 feet, on these aspects, the snow became damp.
