Quick report
Cloudy with light to moderate snow starting near sunset with wind picking up near midnight and strong overnight, with snow becoming light to none. There was 4" new with water 0.38" and the current snowpack tied the winters deepest at 35½" as it steadily cooled. Currently overcast with no snow. Wind has died and is light to none after strong overnight gusts near 30 mph. The first 9 days this month all had high temperatures above freezing but the past two were below and yesterday was 27F with the low, and current, this morning 4F. Snowpack has a crust surface on top of rotten snow most of the way down and is weak and collapsing. --So, this is what snow is like? Who knew. billy
