The snowpack was generally safe here because Redwell slid wall to wall leaving a very shallow, weak snowpack in steep terrain.  I wasn't here for the 2019 cycle, but this slide was the largest and most impressive I've seen in Redwell since I started forecasting for CBAC: on Google Earth, the slide was about 6,000' wide and ran over a mile downhill.  

I started noticing large surface hoar below 10,000'.  Above that, the snowpack in steep terrain is less than a foot deep, all weak facets with thin pockets (<4") of more recently drifted hard slab in concave features that were unreactive to ski cuts.  

The snowpack lacked any apparent avalanche concerns here due to a complete flush last week. No signs of instability.
