Quick report
Observed a few large crowns high on Mineral Mountain’s NE aspect today in Sheep Basin. They appeared to be cornice triggered and propagated fairly wide. I’m unsure of how recent they were as it was hard to see debris in the flat light, but the crowns were well-defined. I also observed a natural avalanche on an E-SE aspect below the ridge extending south of Ampitheater, viewed from the pass at the back of Republic Creek. This was also presumably triggered by a cornice fall.
