Traveled to Red meadow pass today to do some skiing. Took the liberty of de-riming the weather station. The snow was significantly deeper than expected. The flats received 1.5 feet of dry powder. We skied S, SE, and NW facing slopes. All contained 2-3 feet of dry snow. S and SE was pretty cohesionless, N was slightly more cohesive. We found hardened wind slab that released cleanly about 40 cm down in a hand pit on SW shoulder. We also triggered some wind slabs around 4-5 inches deep in our skin tracks and one small one on the downhill. Ripped some decent sized dry loose sluff on convexities

Natural release from the morning. Wasn’t able to see the crown due to visibility. I’m just guessing about the elevation since I could only see the fresh debris at the bottom. It did not travel all the way to the lake.
