Castle AST 1

Centre Peak AST1 with the SPAW out and the avalanche report at con/con/con we stuck to valley bottom and had a great day! Our snow pack observation had 2 Ice crusts with a layer facets underneath. These crusts were down 30cm and 40cm. Compression test result on the upper crust was moderate 13 RP. We also found the November 27 Melt freeze crust (down 130cm) with 10cm of large facets ontop. compression tests were Hard with a break fracture charactor. Additionally, we observed point release avalanches from steep solar aspects stopping in track from Sunday.
