Rode easy laps all day all over the Bow Summit area. Ski conditions were very variable. Above and top of tree line was crusty or had hard wind slabs. Open slopes below tree line had large breakable crusts. Pieces varied from 1-3 inches thick and could be picked up solid in pieces up to 40cm. Found sections with heavy faceting. Ski penetration was only ever up to 5cm. Surprisingly the best riding was lower down in the trees. We found some soft crust-less snow with fun powder. Perhaps because of the inversion this past week. Overall conditions were better than expected. Zero signs of instability.
