Snowpack

I targeted an area below an old crownline from mitigation prior to Thanksgiving that winds have refilled with snow. I found two potential slab/weak layer combos--one in the upper part of the snowpack and one near the bottom. The lower layer combo is the more concerning of the two, with repeatable ECTP results on the weak interface. This interface is about 10cm from the ground and on top of a layer of depth hoar. In areas where winds have not deposited harder layers of snow, the snowpack is weak and faceted.
