Beauforts

Skied the Curran-Squarehead-Joan traverse with a side trip to Mt Apps on Saturday and Sunday. Observed breakable crust on all aspects with variable ski pen (2-10cm) on Saturday, and mostly bulletproof crust on Sunday. Some rime seen at higher elevation. We couldn’t determine if the variability in the crusty-ness was caused by elevation, aspect or wind affect, but it was sure annoying. No instabilities noticed, but we saw some larger old crown lines on steep slopes from last cycle.
