Brew Hut area :east side

We took an interesting winter route from Whistler RV park, towards Brew Hut. Fresh snow everywhere, but up to 1100m there was a nasty ice layer around 20-40cm below the surface. This layer was not very supportive and we saw some minor shooting and cracking around 1100m: on our way down in the same area we didn't notice anything worth mentioning... Anything higher than 1100m had 40-50 cm fresh pow on top of consolidated snow, very stable. The ridge itself was sculpted by the wind big time. The hut was in good shape from the outside.
