Skied Acidophilus (NE facing) around 10:30am. 2cm of fresh snow sat on top of a thin crust. Crust was easy to break on low angle slopes or when stopped - not ideal for snowboarding but skiing seemed fine. Valley bottom was much heavier with a bit of mashed potato. On the way back up, trees getting any sun were shedding. Lots of pinwheels. Riding back down into resort off the SW face of the ridge, top section was quite wind affected. No new snow was sitting on top of the crust.
Clear skies in the morning, but around 1pm an unexpected storm blew through. Skies were overcast and light snow started falling. Unlikely that the Whitewater area received any late afternoon sun.
