This pic shows (like a lot of places) how much new unconsolidated snow is out there right now. But, the point of the pic is not only to show how amazing it is but if you look to the background you will notice a lot of creep cracks in the steep terrain above just right of the tree. This was noticed in a number of places and following in the avalanche report we notice fresh soft slabs Sz. 1-2 in the new storm snow sliding of old storm snow from previous days.
Steep slopes are starting show signs of movement even were stability has been thought to be good in the this part of the region. The mountains can't take to much more snow even on 40 deg slopes where nearly a meter of new snow has fallen in the last couple weeks. Plenty of Sz.1-2 storm loose slabs were recorded and rear visible signs of CREEP (see picture)
