Did a 5 day ski touring basecamp (feb 5-9) near Tachewana pk north of the nahatlatch drainage. Did not see any recent natural avalanche activity. However, we got numerous whumpfs when breaking trail and at regroups at treeline. Ski cut a few sz 1’s on convex rolls at treeline elevation which failed within the facets on top of a 5cm thick MFcr down 45cm. TP on N aspect, HS: 285cm, Lee side of treed ridgeline, 28 deg, 1800m: CTM-H 12 and 22 (SC) down 45cm on FC’s above MFcr. 350cm’s plus on the glaciers and around 280cm HS at treeline in this area.
