Avalanche Information

slide started remotely when passing a convex roll while i was gently turning on my splitboard. While I did not approach area to investigate/ confirm the crust or weak layer, the speed, remote distance and ease of release onto a quite low angle slope suggests to me isolated presence of pockets of facets on a crust in this area/ aspect. No other instability was noted by any of our group. It should be noted the wind direction was highly erratic on these slopes with very strong gusts coming predominantly from the col to the north east but sometimes from the south and the east.
