Imperial ridge

Went and skinned a west facing ridge but rode the deep wind deposited pockets along tree line where we didn’t hit the crust. Between 20cm 60cm HT on the west face 1500-200. Over 200 elk holes that made for interesting skinning. 15cms new snow fell over night and lightly snowing on and off accumulating less then 5cm all day. Did notice shooting cracks but only where the snow pack was shallower to the crust. Was a cold day -17 at the truck wind from the SW, with transport of snow off ridge tops.
