I only saw a couple of small cornice chunks that failed recently, but no larger slabs.

Nice warm day with high thin clouds and light westerly breeze; some light snow drifting on easterly aspects.

Layers of weak facets make up the snowpack below the most recent storm snow. Where fresh slabs are thicker and more cohesive, the potential for triggering an avalanche remains a serious threat. Low-elevation, sunny slopes became slightly moist late in the day, but wet loose avalanches were not a concern due to high thin cloud cover and light winds.
