Deep on the Dogs

Snowing and breezy with cooler temps keeping the snow blower dry cold smoke. Run down from Prayer flags to start. Plenty of tracks from day before made for slighty chunky turns at times here. 15 to 20 of overnight snow in No Dogs up track making for 60 ish of recent storm snow firming up as it approaches the latest crusty layer. Wind light in the valley but mod to heavy on flats above Cats from the N making soft slab in waves. No whumphs felt but cracking around splits and shooting out at times. Skipped the Cats and dropped No Dogs for 2 runs. Absolutely blower off the ridge and all the way down with no slabs on 1st run but sluffs running fast. 2nd run had thin ( <= 10 cms ) natural surface slabs on convexities that had shattered like checker boards. Tree bombs would make similar mini slabs as they hit the snow on 2nd lap up. Amazing quality snow in fresh lines. Literally choking on it with deep breaths!
