Emerald instability at TL

30-40cm of recent snow on top of the January 24 weak layer is still reactive to skiers. We experienced cracking up to 35m long (photo attached), whumping, and produced slab avalanches (30-40cm deep) less than size 1 while skiing on E/NE aspects in open/sparsed treed slopes between 1900 and 1500m in the Emerald Lake area.
