Beaconsfield West

Exploratory tour to the area near the old Scout's Canada cabin west side of Beaconsfield. Stayed on very gentle terrain. Noticed several whumps when climbing slope from south of cabin, in direction of col between Beaconsfield and Apex. Foggy and cloudy all day, with moderate wind closer to ridgetop. Snowpack well consolidated, with less than 10cm of ski penetration in most places. Snow on top was heavy enough that a snowball could be made that stayed together, although not wet.
