As we ascended in the morning, there was a light rain/snow/sleet mix falling. A thin breakable crust (<1cm in most places) capped the otherwise soft, settling storm snow on all aspects, from about 1200m to as high as we skied (~1600m). It was thickest in open areas and less noticeable in the trees, which held the best riding quality of the day for us (surprisingly good in places). It was foggy above with flat light so we avoided alpine terrain and are unsure if the crust persists higher up. No signs of instability observed. Wet snow started at the top of the gondola as we left around 4pm.
