Bit of everything today on the south-facing chute above Fraser lake. Nice powder down low, wind affected up top. Our pit at 1300 metres found 125cm snowpack, ECTN 18 at 25cm down, and ECTP 29 at 55cm. On the way up, just looker's right of the chute at around 1400 metres, we found a thin crust (seemed like sun) sitting lightly on endless facets, which made for some slippery skinning. 1500 and above was wind affected but seemed well consolidated, aside from some isolated pockets of hollow-sounding wind slab. Less exposed rocks than expected but definitely still around. Little to no wind all day....
