Quick Observation

Finally some snow. Went up to ski a more east facing line off the top of Puff Daddy. First lap saw good turns with a bit of stiffness from the wind at the very top. The slope has many small convex features and these sluffed readily, entraining enough snow to give us pause. Crust can still be felt at that point and a bit more snow will be needed to refresh things below treeline. Going up for a second lap, it kept snowing and sw winds were moderate gusting to strong. Snow was stiffer and more blown in. Managed to ski cut convex features easily, releasing soft slabs 30cm deep. A slide (Sa) 10mx30m popped off a short convex slope that had already seen tracks that day (tracks don't mean it's safe!). Things had set up a bit more and the snow was generally slabbier than in the morning. Stay safe and enjoy the faceshots!
