Quick Observation

A firm melt freeze crust made for efficient boot packing. Ski / boot crampons and an ice axe are useful tools early in the day. Slide for life conditions until things soften up with solar input. Sled tracks spinning out on the melt freeze crust. Widespread evidence of previous natural avalanche cycle. New wind slab forming in alpine lee features on N and NE aspects (reactive to ski testing). Active wind transport through the day. Strong solar input during the day broke down the melt freeze crust on solar aspects by noon. Snow is disappearing on solar aspects (Fraser chutes). Train tracks now plowed at Fraser. Sled access at Powder valley appears to have disappeared with warm temps.
