Compression test failed on the 5th tap, had to gently pull the block to get it to slide out, snow was very soft even below the first weak layer at 220cm, I could easily push my fist through, the crust at 185cm was harder (1 finger) and I got it to break irregularly on the 24th tap, lots of whumpfing in open areas and tree line, not so bad in the trees. Dug the pit at 1200m Slope 30deg Depth 255cm About -1 deg c
