Snowpack

Skied up the Summit Knob from Cameron Lake finding 80-90 cm on the climb to the Summit Lake Bench and then a rapid jump to over 130 at around 1900m. Dug several hasty test profiles to look at snowpack structure finding no significant shears in any of them. Aside from some buried windslabs evident on top of the knob under the 10 - 20 cm that fell on New Years, there was very little remarkable in this typically fat snowpack area. The snowpack was weakest down low where it was under 1m in depth. West winds could be seen moving snow along ridgelines at Treeline and in the Alpine and new windslabs are likely forming.
