We did a few laps around the Nak Bowl area. Snow was heavily wind affected from previous storm with lots of areas that were rock hard in the morning making for a tricky ascent. However, the day's temps rose rapidly from below zero to above, dramatically softening the snow and making for good skiing around noon. Lots of small natural releases on the steeper sun affected aspects and lots of sloughing on the way down. I wouldn't ski any big lines on these conditions with the way the snow was sliding. We did not, though, see any of the cornices on the east side of Nak release although a section of snow on the cliff face had come down a couple of days prior. Good skiing but use caution, especially once the slopes warm up.
