Blowy day eh.

Blowy ? day in the Flathead. Strong west winds were striping and crossroading various alpine features in the Heartbreak/Rain Gauge area. In the trees the snow was still good, with up to 40 cm over the Feb 1 crust. Even though most of the Lizard Range/Flathead region is no longer talking about the fall deep persistent problem, we are wary of thin terrain up against the divide above 2200 m. An older cornice fall in the area reminded us to always be aware of what is above us at all times.
